ICTI Officers Announced at Annual Meeting

The International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) announced the election of new officers to serve on the ICTI Board of Directors at the 40th Annual General Meeting held last week in Tokyo, Japan.
The following individuals were elected to serve a one year term (ending in 2015):
President, Mr. Roland Earl of the British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA)
Vice President/Europe, Ulrich Brobeil of the German Toy Association (DVSI)
Vice President/Americas, Synesio Batista da Costa of the Brazil Toy Assocation (ABRINQ)
Vice President/Asias, Bernie Ting of the Hong Kong Toys Council (HKTC)
Secretary, Carter Keithley of the U.S. Toy Industry Association (TIA)
Hosted by the Japan Toy Association, the 2014 AGM explored issues currently affecting the worldwide toy industry – including the global economy and barriers to trade, safety standards, marketing to children and environmental sustainability. Individual country “State of the Industry Reports” were discussed during the proceedings; they are now available online for viewing by ICTI Members only.
The next ICTI Annual General Meeting will take place 3-6 May 2015 in Cancun, Mexico. More information will be shared on the ICTI website in the coming months.
